Significant revisions made to the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 ("BAPCPA") are examined. Amendments to 11 U.S.C. Section 523 provide that a discharge in bankruptcy did not discharge an individual debtor from debt. These revisions are intended to simplify the process of determination as to whether a debt obligation in relation to matrimonial dissolution of child support is nondischargable.
